I bought this for my friend who fishes in Alaska go home with piles of salmon a year. Her male relatives in South America all have similar portable smoker and when we were there on holiday, I noticed how people loved to gather around the smoker and drinks, adapting their belts and act masculine. I love this egg cooker. It's so easy and cooks the eggs perfectly! I was reading some of the other people who have interest in their opinions and here's what I found: The stove is hot from the microwave - but it's a big problem ... use some potholders! The other thing is the timing - every microwave is different, and you will find the best time to use for your microwave with only a few times. I need more time if I had to add two to four eggs. Again, no big deal - the eggs werestill cook, just cook over a rigid support. Frankly, this stove is so convenient, easy to use and inexpensive ... and shortens the cooking time by half compared to traditional methods. Sold! :-)

Great, but the public dimension is not correct, the effective diameter of 7.5 inches, 7 inches is not. This difference in size means that the press does not sit on the floor of my 10-inch fry pans.

I did ask via e-mail on grinding Lodge 1 / 4 inch of material from all over the press but not yet heard back.

So be aware that the press has an effective diameter of 7.5 cm, and measure your pans accordingly.

Otherwise, it feels solid and well made.
